Milestone achieved in Nuclear Decommissioning Project at Ringhals Unit 2 in Sweden.

We are proud to announce a significant advancement in the decommissioning of Ringhals Unit 2. In collaboration with our partner Hebetec, NUVIA has successfully removed three steam generators, each weighing approximately 300 tons. This complex operation involved disconnection, lifting, tilting, and extraction through a specially created opening in the reactor building wall.

This achievement is part of the broader dismantling project of the primary circuit, including pipes and pumps, within the reactor building. The ongoing work underscores our commitment to safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility in nuclear decommissioning.

NUVIA continues to leverage its extensive experience in nuclear dismantling projects across Sweden, contributing to the country’s energy transition.
