For John Cockerill at the EDF La Barthe dam site, our SAIT Sud-Ouest teams designed and installed a 72-metre-high scaffolding structure. A true technical feat that perfectly showcases NUVIA’s expertise and ingenuity in challenging environments.
As part of a project for John Cockerill at the EDF La Barthe dam site, our SAIT Sud-Ouest teams designed and installed a 72-metre-high scaffolding structure. It was a real technical challenge, but one that was brilliantly overcome!
This structure houses a construction elevator to serve the work areas, as well as an integrated staircase for emergency use.
There were many challenges:
- A complex installation on a curved dam
- Anchors up to 10 metres deep to ensure stability
- An in-depth technical study in collaboration with NUVIA Access to ensure worker safety.
The structure will remain in place for 18 months, requiring an average of five people and 30 tons of equipment.
This project perfectly illustrates SAIT Sud-Ouest’s ability to adapt to challenging environments by providing innovative, secure solutions.
Congratulations to the teams for this fine demonstration of NUVIA’s expertise!
