Eine neue kosteng\u00fcnstige, kohlenstoffarme und nachhaltige Technik zur Einkapselung von mittelaktiven Abf\u00e4llen<\/h3><\/div>

NUVIA und Lucideon haben vor einigen Wochen eine erfolgreiche Veranstaltung abgehalten, um eine bahnbrechende neue Technik zu demonstrieren, die den Prozess der Atomm\u00fcllentsorgung weltweit ver\u00e4ndern soll.<\/p>\n

Das System wurde als Antwort auf eine Reihe von Herausforderungen der Nuklearindustrie bei der Abfallentsorgung entwickelt und bietet eine kosteneffiziente Methode zur Entsorgung von mittelschweren Abfallstr\u00f6men (ILW), einschlie\u00dflich \u00d6len, Graphit, Zeolithen, Schl\u00e4mmen und Asche.<\/p>\n

Gemeinsam haben NUVIA und Lucideon eine Abfalll\u00f6sung mit dem Namen MALLET (MIDAR\u2122-Augmented Low-cost Low-carbon Encapsulation Technique) entwickelt.<\/p>\n

MALLET wurde als Antwort auf mehrere problematische Entsorgungsprobleme in der Nuklearindustrie entwickelt, um eine sichere, hoch belastbare L\u00f6sung f\u00fcr \u00d6le, Schl\u00e4mme, Ionenaustauscherharze und Graphit zu bieten.<\/p>\n

Richard Goodhead, Chief Marketing Officer von Lucideon, sagte: „MALLET stellt eine bedeutende Entwicklung f\u00fcr das Management von Atomm\u00fcll dar.<\/p>\n

„Es bietet erhebliche Vorteile gegen\u00fcber herk\u00f6mmlichen Entsorgungsmethoden f\u00fcr mittelschwere Abf\u00e4lle wie Portlandzement, einschlie\u00dflich einer erheblichen Verringerung der Kohlenstoffemissionen und der Abfallmengen sowie einer betr\u00e4chtlichen Reduzierung der Verarbeitung und Entsorgung.<\/p>\n

MALLET hat das Potenzial, die Risiko- und Gefahrenreduzierung zu beschleunigen, indem es eine L\u00f6sung f\u00fcr die Verarbeitung von Abf\u00e4llen bietet, die als problematisch angesehen werden, und die Kosten f\u00fcr die Entsorgung und Verarbeitung der Abf\u00e4lle im Vergleich zu herk\u00f6mmlichen Verpressmethoden um mehrere hundert Millionen Pfund senken wird.<\/p>\n

Ich habe in den letzten drei Jahren eng mit Lucideon an diesem Projekt zusammengearbeitet und freue mich, dass die Zusammenarbeit zwischen unseren Organisationen nicht nur zur Entwicklung eines
